The Sarasota Police Department said it had a few new residents to serve and protect after “darling ducklings” hatched outside one of its buildings in Sarasota, Florida, on August 12. The police department shared this footage of a clutch of eggs found in the landscaping near their building. The video shows a broken egg and a nearby duckling resting among a fluff of downy feathers. “We have a few new baby ducks to keep an eye on. These darling ducklings were hatching right in front of our substation this morning!” the Sarasota Police Department said on Facebook. Credit: Sarasota Police Department via Storyful
