Homes Burn in Ocean Isle Beach After Isaias Makes Landfall

At least seven homes were ablaze in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, late on August 3, as Isaias made landfall in the coastal town, according to local media. The storm sparked the fires, and homeowners were reporting as much as 4 feet of water flooding their property, local news said. Horry SC Fire Rescue said that at approximately 11.40 pm, there were reports of multiple structure fires in the area. Storm Isaias made landfall as a hurricane in southern North Carolina, near Ocean Isle Beach, at around 11.10 pm, according to the National Hurricane Center.
