“One Night In Miami,” which also made this year’s Toronto Film Festival premiere list, is based on Kemp Powers’ award-winning 2013 stage play of the same name – a fictional account of a real-life incident in which boxing great Muhammad Ali — then known then as Cassius Clay — spent an evening hanging out with football star Jim Brown, civil rights activist Malcolm X and trailblazing soul crooner Sam Cooke.
