A storm system named Tropical Storm Fay brought 45 mph wind gusts, heavy rain, and the potential for strong rip currents to the New Jersey coastline on Friday morning, July 10, reports said. The system was upgraded to a tropical storm by the National Hurricane Center after moving up the coast off North Carolina. This video was taken on the beach in Avalon, New Jersey, on Friday morning. A tropical storm warning was issued for several New Jersey counties and New York City. The National Weather Service forecast two to three inches of rain across most of New Jersey.
