Sky News host Peter Gleeson says Annastacia Palaszczuk must end the border farce in Queensland and get on with the job of rebuilding the state’s economy.

The Queensland Premier has confirmed the decision on reopening state borders will be made on Tuesday.

The worsening outbreak in Victoria remains a major concern, threatening to delay the lifting of restrictions.

Mr Gleeson said people “need clarity and fresh hope” and the premier must reopen the borders as businesses continue to suffer.

“If she keeps the borders closed tomorrow it will be just another cruel blow to Queensland’s tourism industry,” he said.
