Sky News host Paul Murray says there is a "big lie" being pushed around in Australian politics, namely the government has cut funding and jobs from the ABC.

He said the Opposition leader "each-way Albo" has decided to jump onto the "Twitter train" and take aim at the government.

Mr Albanese recently tweeted "Facts matter. And the fact is that this Government has cut funding - and jobs - from the ABC".

"It's not true," Mr Murray said.

Mr Murray looked at the guaranteed government funding the national broadcaster receives each year, with an increase in money being experienced each of the last eight-years.

"It will be another billion this year and another billion next year and another billion the year after that".

"Last time I checked, if you're still being paid the same, it's not a cut".
