A new poll released by the Lowy Institute examining Australian attitudes towards China demonstrates the Australian government “is on the right side of history,” according to Sky News host Paul Murray.

The poll found 94 per cent of Australians say “we should work to find other markets for Australia to reduce our economic dependence on China” and “82 per cent say we should impose travel and financial sanctions on Chinese officials associated with human rights abuses”.

Mr Murray said the poll proves once again “Australians are normal and Australians are right”.
