Boris Johnson gave a socially distant welcome to Emmanual Macron on the steps of 10 Downing Street in London on June 18, as the French President arrived in the United Kingdom for a WWII commemoration. This footage, posted to the Twitter account of Boris Johnson, was taken outside the Prime Minister’s residence and shows the two leaders maintaining a healthy distance. Macron is in London to commemorate the 80th anniversary of a BBC radio address given by French leader Charles de Gaulle from London in 1940 when France was occupied by the Nazis. The Johnson and Macron were expected to discuss easing quarantine restrictions implemented by the UK. Among the commemorations were flyovers by the UK Red Arrows and the French La Patrouille.
