Qld LNP ‘air their dirty laundry’ with the Palmer Hutchinson ‘conflict of interest’

almost 4 years in news

Sky News contributor Campbell Newman says Clive Palmer’s relationship with LNP President David Hutchinson is “not appropriate” but neither is it big news.

Clive Palmer’s employment of Mr Hutchinson has been viewed by some as presenting a conflict of interest, particularly in light of Supreme Court documents where Clive Palmer reportedly said, “I have paid a lot of money to get you guys elected and I have a lot of money to continue to do that in the future”.

“Why have Deb Frecklington and the LNP hierarchy and the parliamentary team chosen to actually launch thermo-nuclear war with their own party?" Mr Newman asked Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“It’s not going to help Deb Frecklington to have that war”.

“My advice to the LNP parliamentary team is to focus on the main game, get out there and demonstrate you are behind Deb Frecklington, articulate an agenda that is positive and exciting for Queenslanders and win their vote”.

“Don’t just expect you’ll coast into government”.
