Sky News host Rowan Dean says the Labor Party through the actions of embattled former Victorian Minister Adem Somyurek has yet again been caught out with "its dirty tricks, and yet again its nothing to see here”.

“How often to we have to have this conversation,” Mr Dean said of the recent scandal involving Victorian Labor.

It comes as disgraced Mr Somyurek quit the Victorian Labor Party less than a day after he was sacked from the Andrews ministry due to allegations he engaged in the unethical practice of branch stacking.

Mr Somyurek was facing expulsion from the party after a damning 60 Minutes broadcast a series of explosive secret recordings allegedly showing the former Labor MP using unethical and possibly illegal means to gain power within the state and federal Labor party.

“They love power, and they will do whatever it takes to get that power”.

“This is just Labor”.

Sky News host Graham Richardson said Labor in Victoria has “learnt its lessons from this”.
