Prime Minister ‘can’t have it both ways’

Greens leader Adam Bandt says Prime Minister Scott Morrison “can’t have it both ways” by saying “people need to start mingling more” in the one breath, while condemning protesters in the next.

“Let’s remember when people went to a 5G protest on the streets of Melbourne he (Scott Morrison) was saying it’s a free country,” Mr Bandt told Sky News.

“He wasn’t out there calling for people to be charged when that happened, it’s utter hypocrisy.

“And now he’s there saying states need to lift their borders and there needs to be greater movement.

“This is the man, when infection rates were their highest, wanted to go to the football and was telling everyone to go the football.

“So come on, give me a break.”
