A statue of Christopher Columbus was recovered from a lake at Byrd Park in Richmond, Virginia, on June 10, after protesters toppled it and threw it in the lake the previous night. Protesters used three ropes to pull the statue down at around 8.30 pm on Tuesday night, before dragging it to the nearby Landing at Fountain Lake, local media reported.
