Houston’s City Hall was lit up in crimson and gold in memory of George Floyd on June 8. The colors represented his alma mater, Houston’s Jack Yates High School. George Floyd died on May 25 after he was restrained by police in Minneapolis. His death prompted widespread anti-racism protests, both in the US and around the world.
