Palaszczuk govt faces increasing pressure to lift tight restrictions

The Queensland Chamber of Commerce wants all restrictions removed for businesses, provided they adhere to the four square metre rule and there is no second wave as a result of protests at the weekend.
Upwards of 30,000 people attended Black Lives Matter protests in Brisbane on Saturday, prompting fears of a second wave of COVID-19.
Queensland's border closure also remain a point of contention for the state, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk unable to commit to a date for when they will be reopened.
The next key date for the state's roadmap to recovery is June 12, when 20 patrons will be allowed in venues.
