Minnesota attorney general expects ‘there will be charges’ in George Floyd case

Following a night of violent protests across Minneapolis, the state’s top prosecutor announced Friday that he expects charges against the officers involved in George Floyd’s death and hopes they will be filed “soon.” Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison told CNN’s “New Day” he has “every expectation” that the four now-fired cops will be arrested, though he noted that it’s ultimately up to Hennepin County authorities.
