Sky News host Andrew Bolt says Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been engaging in “kumbaya” talk on the coronavirus and has made “a big dodo from the get go” on aspects of his approach on Industrial Relations reform. “The Prime Minister this week got carried away with all this kumbaya talk in the virus about how we're all in this together,” Mr Bolt said He said Mr Morrison gave a “big speech” about how getting unions and bosses to work together on IR reform in a bid to get Australians back to work following so many citizens being out of a job. “This plan to me sounded like a dodo from the get go,” Mr Bolt said. “Getting unions – represented by ACTU boss Sally McManus – a seat at the table to help make decisions affecting the rest of us”. Mr Bolt also said those working in the private sector re currently "getting belted" and losing their jobs while those in the public sector have secure positions. It comes as the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Wednesday announced a pay freeze for all public servants in the state, a move which was met with discontent over why essential workers such as police, nurses and teachers were not exempted from the freeze.
