Sky News host Andrew Bolt says the “dud modelling” and the government’s “scaremongering has cost this country billions and billions” and has destroyed countless Australian businesses. Mr Bolt pointed to reports in the Medical Journal of Australia which claimed Australia would run out of ICU beds by April 5, and also suggestions from top medical experts who said the country could suffer 100-150 thousand deaths. This comes as “another wild exaggeration” was made by the Treasury Department which predicted six million people would need JobKeeper when it turns out it was closer to three, which resulted in a $60 billion miscalculation. “Treasury put too much trust in clearly dud modelling that has cost this country a tragic amount of pain,” Mr Bolt said.
