Sky News host Chris Smith has spoken of an email which he says has “put a human face to the damage” being incurred on small businesses by state government’s refusing to open their borders.

He said “desperate Australians” are “pleading for the country’s leaders to save their livelihoods” as businesses and families continue to face the harsh economic ramifications from the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Smith said workers and families are facing a “terrible dark cloud” as more people face unemployment and decreased income.
