Labor politicians ‘bounce to the beat of Beijing’
over 5 years in news
State politicians such as Daniel Andrews and Mark McGowan are “tiptoeing” around the issue of China and have taken the “appeasement and apology” route, according to Sky News contributor Cory Bernardi.
They are an obvious fit for Lenin’s so-called “useful idiots”.
In contrast, Mr Bernardi said the Federal government are using economic fallout from the coronavirus and the deterioration of trade connected to China “as an opportunity to recalibrate the balance of power and the existing relationship with China”.
Sky News host Paul Murray said “The Victorian government have been bouncing to the beat of Beijing” which was highlighted when the Victorian Treasurer admonished the government for its handling of the situation.
He said the Victorian government may have “lost the plot” when it came to “Chinese dollars verses Australian sovereignty”.
