Sky News host Graham Richardson says Alan Jones "is the most generous human being I have ever met" and commented that "no one has the passion" of his colleague, who recently announced he will be retiring from radio after 35 years.

Mr Richardson paid homage to his fellow Sky News host saying, "it doesn't matter whether he's talking about slicing bread or an oncoming war, he has that way about him ... that way of making everything sound important".

"And of course, a way of making everyone seem important".

"This bloke is amazing to me," Mr Richardson said.

Mr Jones announced on Tuesday he will be retiring from radio on May 29 after over three decades in the industry.

He cited medical advice as his reason, revealing experts cautioned him about the excessive workload in juggling radio, TV and print media.
