Illinois surpasses 20,000 COVID 19 tests for the first time, but research suggests many more needed to safely reopen

Illinois has passed another milestone in testing for the new coronavirus, with Gov. J.B. Pritzker announcing Friday that for the first time more than 20,000 screenings were conducted statewide in the previous 24 hours.
