A hailstorm battered Melbourne, Arkansas, on May 3 as severe thunderstorms moved across the northern part of the state and residents were warned to seek shelter. In footage posted to Twitter by John Barnett, hail about the size of a quarter is seen lashing a lawn. “Gotta get in – lightning! They just said be safe,” he says in the video.
