COVID 19 lockdown costing Australian economy $4B a week

about 4 years in news

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg will on Tuesday outline how the cost of COVID-19 restrictions on Australian economic activity totals $4 billion a week, which Sky News contributor Scott Emerson says is the “harsh reality” of continuing these measures.

The Australian is reporting the treasurer will “lay down the platform for unlocking COVID-19 social restrictions revealing a $4 billion hit to economic activity for every extra week they remain in place”.

Mr Emerson told Sky News host Peter Gleeson the Australian people “want to see Josh Frydenberg outlining his road map” to economic recovery.
