Joe Biden “is caught in a bit of a bind” regarding the assault allegations laid against him in the lead-up to the United States presidential election in November, according to Sky News contributor Nicholas Reece. Mr Reece said “the way political communication strategy works is if you are talking about a topic that hurts you, it doesn’t matter if you are… putting forward good counter-arguments”. As long as the media airs information which depicts you in a negative light, “you are losing,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray. So far the Biden campaign has attempted to “shut down” any discussions airing the assault allegations, Mr Reece said. “But as momentum builds for answers there will come a point where they need to take this issue on and stamp on it,” he said.
