Who is popular today?

Sky News host Paul Murray says the “most popular” state politician in the country is the Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan while the award for least popular premier goes to Annastacia Palaszczuk.

The Labor premier of Queensland, has the lowest satisfaction rate according to a Newspoll published by The Australia.

Mr Murray said just as Ms Palaszczuk caved and allowed the approval of the Adani mine in a bid to maintain electoral support, on Tuesday the Queensland Premier met with Rugby League and has given them “early approval” for the game to resume on May 28.

Mr Murray said if an opinion poll “is what it takes to get them moving, then print one" every day.
