Vic govt greenlights unredacted royal commission findings on George Pell

about 4 years in couriermail

The Victorian government has given the green light for redacted findings related to Cardinal George Pell to be released from the child abuse royal commission.

In 2016, the cardinal gave evidence to the inquiry from Rome before he was charged and convicted with crimes that were ultimately overturned by the High Court.

The findings would not relate to allegations against George Pell but concern what the cardinal may have known regarding allegations against other priests during his tenure in Australia.
