Sky News host Rowan Dean says the only way China knows how to impose its will is “by threatening and bullying” as the Chinese Ambassador to Australia warns of a potential consumer boycott of Australian exports.

“It’s actually a threat, a serious threat,” Mr Dean said.

The Ambassador claimed there could be a backlash against Australian exports such as education and agriculture products because of the way Australia is dealing China in its pursuit of an international investigation.

Mr Dean told Sky News host Paul Murray what the ambassador is really saying is China will “pull as much money as (it) possibly can to punish you if you dare set up an investigation that seeks to find the truth about what happened in Wuhan”.

“The mask is being ripped off from China, and we’re seeing the hideous grotesquery of the Chinese Communist Party”.
