Australia's response to the unique coronavirus-induced restrictions imposed upon Anzac Day 2020 have been commended by Veteran's Affairs Minister Darren Chester.
While commemorative services were closed to the public across the country, private initiatives resulted in thousands of communities holding small-scale gatherings in their driveways, homes and from balconies.
Mr Chester said the adaptability of Australians today reflects that of the soldiers who fought for our freedom.
