The National Film and Sound Archive has released never-before-seen-footage from the first recorded Anzac Day in 1915.
Citizens of Adelaide designated October 13 to be ANZAC Day to coincide with the Eight Hour Day public holiday so more people could participate.
Also known as the 'Patriotic Procession and Carnival', the day was more of a fete than commemoration.
Australia officially commemorated the ANZACs on April 25 from 1916.
