Shot fired at Duncan home

A shot was fired through the window of a house near Duncan on Sunday morning in what is believed to be a targeted incident, say North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.

Police responded to the residence in the Boys Road area about 6:30 a.m. and confirmed there were no injuries. They were joined by Shawnigan Lake RCMP, police-dog services, the Emergency Response Team and others in responding to a number of sites in the Duncan area.

Suspects were identified and one man was arrested for weapons-related offences.

“The response and teamwork from multiple detachments and units on Vancouver Island allowed for a quick conclusion of the event,” said North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Sgt. Adam Talboy.
