World Health Organisation ‘has bent over backwards to praise Beijing’

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the World Health Organisation “has behaved disgracefully” and has failed in its role to “inform, alert and protect the world”.
It comes as President Trump has suspended funding to the WHO after he accused the “China-centric” body of “severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus”.
President Trump said the WHO would lose its $400 million US contribution as he launched an investigation into the organisation’s ties to China.
Mr Kenny praised this move by President Trump saying, “good on him” for suspending funding for an organisation who “opposed travel bans (and has) been slow to declare the pandemic”.
Mr Kenny said the WHO has “generally bent over backwards to support and praise Beijing rather than inform, alert and protect the world”.
