World Health Organisation as ‘useful as pockets in your underpants’

NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham says the Chinese communist government has "stacks to answer for" as it allowed its citizens to "fly out of Wuhan when it could have been contained in that one city".

"For six weeks they would have had a handle on what this virus really meant," Mr Latham said.

The World Health Organisation on Tuesday came out in defence of China's wet markets and argued for the Wuhan market to reopen stating, "with proper regulation and good hygiene practices, it's possible to have safe food sold in wet markets".

Mr Latham said all of the critics of the UN and supra-national organisations would have had to admit "there's one multilateral (organisation) that makes sense, a world health organisation".

However, he added the World Health Organisation is "as useful as pockets in your underpants".
