Schools coming back is essential to ‘creating demand back into the economy’

about 4 years in news

Sky News host Paul Murray says the importance of allowing schools to return to normal is about ensuring "as many people can go back to work to start to create demand back into the economy".

Prime Minister Scott Morrison shared similar sentiments in an interview with Sky News and said he did not want the coronavirus to "take a year of a child's education".

Mr Murray said the issue of who takes care of a child during this pandemic "is a direct correlation to whether somebody is able to do their job or not".

"We have to be finding a way to get schools back".
