NHS Lanarkshire’s staff choir used “modern technology” to join together and sing a joint rendition of “Lean on Me”, video posted on April 10 shows. The group came together to provide hope during the coronavirus pandemic. “Thanks to modern technology, NHS Lanarkshire’s staff choir have been able to join together to sing a song of hope and friendship,” the tweet said. The song was originally sung by Bill Withers, who died on April 3, of heart complications. A tweet from the official account of Kensington Palace said: “We all need somebody to lean on — thank you to @NHSLanarkshire’s staff choir for this beautiful rendition of the Bill Withers classic ‘Lean on Me.’” Members of the choir were asked to record themselves singing the song on their mobile phones, a release noted. The footage was then sent to Rebecca Keay, a musical director, who curated the footage to create a one seamless performance. Credit: NHS Lanarkshire via Storyful
