Who is popular today?

“What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?” Sir Thomas More asks William Roper in the play "A Man for All Seasons."  To defeat a great evil, or perhaps a lesser one, why not run over a law or two? More warns his son-in-law and all of us of the consequences of yielding to such a temptation: “And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you – where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat?”
