No change in number of confirmed COVID 19 cases on Vancouver Island

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on Vancouver Islands remains unchanged at 79, according to provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.
There have been 25 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province in the past 24 hours, but none on the Island, Henry said.
B.C. has had a total of 1,291 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those, 805 people are considered to be fully recovered.
There have been 79 cases on Vancouver Island. There are 603 cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 458 in Fraser Health, 125 in Interior Health and 23 in Northern Health.
Four additional deaths — three in Vancouver Health and one in Fraser Health — were reported Tuesday, bringing the total in B.C. to 43.
There are 138 people are in hospital, including 66 in intensive care or critical care units. Eleven people on the Island are in hospital.
