The Coalition government ‘will never deliver a balanced budget’

Former Labor Minister Stephen Conroy says the “utter hypocrisy of the government’s current actions” given ten years of hounding Labor over its GFC stimulus, is "hidden by the serious health crisis facing the nation”.
“There will come a time, as the crisis eases, where the focus shifts pack to the policy positions enacted by the government”.
Mr Conroy said the Liberal part for over ten years “mercilessly attacked Wayne Swan for increasing spending and debt as he fought to save jobs during the Global Financial Crisis”.
“They claimed debt and deficit were inherently evil and that only the Liberal Party could save Australia from the Labor wreckers”.
Mr Conroy ran through a few of the government’s recent policies including $130 billion in wage subsidies, “effectively nationalised private hospitals,” free childcare, and a residential rent moratorium.
“I know one thing for certain, from 2013 till the end of this government, it will never deliver a balanced budget, and the sky will not fall”.
