New York has recorded a total of 2,737 COVID-19 fatalities as the worst hit state in the United States with more than 92,000 confirmed cases of the virus. Governor Andrew Cuomo said health authorities were looking for ways to expand the capacity of ventilators as they projected they had just six days left before the number of ventilators they had access to were exhausted.
