Alcohol purchases limited to prevent stockpiling

about 4 years in cairnspost

Limits have been introduced on the amount of alcohol customers can purchase per transaction to two cases of 12 bottles of wine and two cases of beer.

The new restrictions will be implemented by liquor stores across the country - including Dan Murphys, BWS and vintage cellars - in an effort to prevent people hoarding and stockpiling alcohol as fears grow over the coronavirus pandemic.
