Those in the inner city with secure jobs are ‘telling us to shutdown everything’

Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says until an antidote is developed “people will still get and die from coronavirus” so Australia should not be kept in lockdown for six months if the infection rate begins to flatline.
Mr Kroger said when comparing Australia’s death toll as a percentage of population “we are doing incredibly well in this country”.
The daily rate of infection has dropped significantly in the past week, and if it continues to drop and flattens the curve then by the middle of May, the government will have to think about “reopening this country because people are getting absolutely smashed”.
“Small business smashed, employees smashed”.
Mr Kroger told Sky News host Andrew Bolt Australians don’t need the “Marie Antoinettes out there telling us to shutdown everything,” including the public servants, trade unionists, and “those from the inner-city who’ve got secure jobs”.
