Coronavirus debate in Australia ‘ranges from the petty to the important’

about 4 years in dailytelegraph

Sky News host Paul Murray says the current coronavirus debate in Australia ranges from arguments to "lock down the nation” to claims that “30 minutes is not long enough for a haircut”.

Mr Murry said “are we as Australians going to be able to cope with being cooped up for weeks on end?”

According to Mr Murray, the first responders who work on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic are the medical professionals, the police, the truck drivers and those who work in the supermarkets.

These people “are going to keep this country going” and take the virus “in their stride," he said.

However, Mr Murray added there exist a “significant minority of people who are either nasty or stupid or a combination of both”.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported paramedics at triple zero have been swamped with calls including a query from a man asking if he could go to work because he thought Sydney was in lockdown.
