about 4 years in cairnspost

Many of New York City’s busiest streets and public spaces were empty on the night of March 21 ahead of lockdown measures introduced to limit the spread of the deadly coronavirus. City officials have asked all residents to stay at home from Sunday, March 22, unless they were “essential workers or need urgent health care.” Mayor Bill de Blasio said: “We have to sharply limit non-essential activity to flatten the curve and slow the spread of this pandemic. It’s a race against time and every second is vital.” More than 6,000 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in New York City as of March 21 with around 4,000 further cases elsewhere in New York state.
