As coronavirus ‘intensifies’ we can’t let politicians ‘take out their political trash’

Sky News host Peta Credlin says while the “corona crisis intensifies” she is keeping a “close eye” on how governments are using the disease as a cover to make potentially unnoticed policy changes.
“In political circles, they call it 'taking out the trash',” Ms Credlin said.
“It happens late on Friday night's and in times like this”.
“Take the Andrews’ Government here in Victoria, which has just quietly let slip that its long-standing ban on gas exploration and extraction, is coming to an end”.
“On the energy front, it's committed to a 50-per-cent-renewable-energy target, and net-zero-emissions-by-2050, as well as putting new taxes on coal to shut down power stations”.
“You see, it's all very well saving the planet in 50 years-time, but what if we can't save the country now from a deadly disease because we don't have the capacity to manufacture enough ventilators here, or half of what's sold on our supermarket shelves”.
