‘Politicians need to leave coronavirus treatment to the doctors’

about 4 years in news

Australian Medical Association (AMA) President of Western Australia Dr Andrew Miller says the politicians need to “get out of the way” and allow the doctors to deal with the coronavirus.

“We need the politicians to step back from giving any medical advice or from criticising any doctors,” Dr Miller told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

Mr Miller said the AMA “will work with the government” and concentrate on “the phases of containment to try and slow this thing down”.

“We can handle it as a nation if we work together," he said.

According to Dr Miller, the government needs to “give us what we ask for and get out the way”.
