Universities hate ‘push back’ against the left wing agenda

According to Sky News host Paul Murray, the recent refusal of a Generation Liberty stall at the Queensland University of Technology demonstrates that universities want to “shut down anyone who doesn't want to kiss the lefty ring”.

The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) wanted to set up a Generation Liberty stall at a recent university event but were shut down because the youth project celebrating freedom failed to align with the values of the Queensland University of Technology.

Mr Murray said he doesn’t understand how “entirely tax funded institutions can’t be pulled straight back into line by the government”.

Sky News Contributor Cory Bernardi said “Generation Liberty is such an important program for the IPA because it is convincing young people about the merits of freedom and why bureaucracy and indoctrination and overwhelming government is not in their interest”.

“Universities hate it” because it pushes back against the hardcore leftist agenda, Mr Bernardi said.
