WORLD FAMOUS LONDON DUNGEON CELEBRATES ٤٥TH ANNIVERSARY THIS SEPTEMBER

To commemorate, the attraction held an exclusive seance in its historic County Hall headquarters held by trance medium, Angela Jensen. Jensen took 20 guests and plunged them deep inside the history of the London attraction, contacting the spirits of London’s most infamous stories - including Guy Fawkes, prisoners of Newgate Prison and renowned Victorian medium, Agnes Guppy.
During the seance, Angela felt the energy of many spirits that reside within County Hall and bought their stories to life; many guests reported either extreme temperature drops or increases, as each spirit made contact through Angela.
Originally opened in 1974 by former Madame Tussauds worker Annabel Geddes, the attraction originally unlocked its doors on Tooley Street, London Bridge as a wax museum showcasing the gory stories of Mary Tudor and Thomas Beckett. Geddes had become fascinated with the ‘house of horrors’ area previously found within Madame Tussauds London and from that, dedicated her time to opening a morbid space resurrecting - and telling - the darkest stories of London.
The attraction relocated to County Hall, South Bank in 2012 where it continues to thrill and scare those who dare to enter. With immersive experiences that will make you scream with both laughter and terror the London Dungeon is home to some of the most fascinating and malevolent stories ever told in the capital.
Despite moving from its iconic Tooley Street location in London Bridge, it seems that the spirits also moved with it, with many unexplained experiences experienced by both staff and guests in the Dungeon.
The London Dungeon is commemorating 45 years of telling London’s darkest history this month and to celebrate, they are launching early bird tickets for The Home of Halloween. Guests will be able to book to visit the darkest Halloween at the attraction in over 40 years as they hand the keys over to one of its most heinous and evil residents - Jack the Ripper.
