Ranj Pillai is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Yukon in the 2016 election. He represents the electoral district of Porter Creek South as a member of the Yukon Liberal Party.On December 3, 2016 Pillai was sworn into the Cabinet of Premier Sandy Silver as Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources, and Economic Development. He is also the Minister responsible for Yukon Development Corporation and the Yukon Energy Corporation.Pillai previously sat as a Whitehorse City Councillor from 2009 to 2012.
