Rajai Lavae Davis (; born October 19, 1980) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Oakland Athletics, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, and Cleveland Indians.Davis began his career as a switch-hitter, but became a full-time right-handed hitter prior to the 2004 season. He also throws right-handed.Davis was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on October 19, 1980. He played Little League Baseball in Willimantic, Connecticut, for the Willimantic Fire Fighters.
