Primo Carnera (; 26 October 1906 – 29 June 1967) was an Italian professional boxer and wrestler who achieved international fame during the 1930s. He reigned as the boxing World Heavyweight Champion from 29 June 1933 to 14 June 1934. He won more fights by knockout than any other heavyweight champion (IBU, NBA, NYSAC) in boxing history. Carnera's boxing record comprised 103 professional fights, with 89 victories, 72 of which were knockouts. His extraordinary physical stature, standing 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m) and weighing up to 270 lb (122 kg), made him a formidable and iconic figure in the sport, earning him the moniker "The Ambling Alp."
