Philippe Montanier (born 15 November 1964) is French former footballer and manager. Montanier is one of a growing number of managers to have played as a goalkeeper in their earlier career; others include Leonid Slutsky, Walter Zenga and Julen Lopetegui.Montanier played as a goalkeeper for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 sides, including Caen, Nantes, Toulouse, Gueugnon and Saint-Étienne.He managed US Boulogne from 2004 and was named Ligue 2 best manager in 2009. After achieving promotion to Ligue 1, he left Boulogne for Valenciennes FC. Wikipedia
